Lyndon
grew up in Limlair Village, Corentyne, Berbice, but now resides in
The Bahamas and is a teacher. He was educated in Guyana at
both the Cyril Potter College of Education and also the University
of Guyana. His love for music began as a child where he
actively participated in village, school and church concerts.
Lyndon gained many certificates of honor at Guyfesta while
performing his own compositions. Traveller is married and has
four children. His professional singing career began in 1985,
when he joined the Guyana Calypso Association and shared the stage
with Lady Guymine, Mighty Rebel, Sweet Kendingo, Lady Explainer and
Mighty Duke. In 1996 he was runner-up in the National Calypso Competition with "Carl Hooper"and in 1997 with "Superstar Chanderpaul". In 2001 he worked with Birchmore Simon of Kross Kolor Studios to do "Your Love" , and in 2004 with Marlon Jartine of Amerindian Studios to do "Gimme Gimme". While in Guyana he worked with Eon Johnson of Dynamix Studio to mix the tunes "Carl Hooper" and "Super Star Chanderpaul". Also working with Bunny Alves of the Uruba Singers on "Carl Hooper" and the video for "Guyana Me Come From". The video "Super Star Chanderpaul" was done at the G.T.V Studio. |
